Broderick Crawford

Wildlife & Nature Artist

Being an avid lover of the outdoors and a self taught artist has combined to create a great career as a wildlife artist for Broderick Crawford.

Broderick was born and raised in the small southern Appalachian town of Tiger, Georgia. A lifelong resident, he has found no where else more beautiful than the North Georgia Mountains to call home.

He enjoys painting just about anything to do with nature, wildlife and sporting art. It shows in all his accomplishments. Working

full time as an artist is of course a dream come true. Broderick paints daily to keep new pieces coming for his collectors. He also enjoys painting for stamp competitions and using his talents to help support many conservation groups.

Most recently he placed fourth in the 2015 North Carolina Duck Stamp Contest. Prior to that in the late summer of 2014 he won first place in the  California Upland Game bird stamp. His original painting of a Sooty Grouse in mountain habitat will be on the face of their 2014-2015 Upland Game Bird Stamp. Last spring he won second place in the Delaware Trout Stamp competition. He also made Honorable Mention in their duck stamp competition on

the same day. Broderick has previously been the Ducks Unlimited Sponsor Art Artist of the Year for North Carolina and Georgia

for 2013-14. He was selected again for those states and Florida

and Idaho for 2014-15. One of his favorite wins was in his home state where his  artwork was selected to represent Trout Unlimited in Georgia on the state’s specialty car tags.

Other wins include the 2009 winner of the Colorado Habitat Stamp, the Tennessee Trout Unlimited inaugural Troutfest Magazine cover artist, Idaho Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year

for two years and many other top ten finishes. He has also finished in the top 10 of the Federal Duck Stamp competition.

Along with painting, he is also an avid and award winning carver.  He enjoys carving all species of waterfowl, shore birds and song birds.

Most days Broderick paints in his studio at home. However, on Saturday’s he usually works alongside his wife Michele in their Gallery in Clayton, Georgia. During the winter though you can

find him at various Wildlife Art Shows. See his schedule on the Events Page.
